Kim, I can understand your frustration however, I would like to disagree. My daughter also plays AAU & YBOA and the officiating is equally as bad no matter who you are. We have played numerous games against the Pistols and other teams and it seems that no matter who we played, the officiating was very poor. We have also had injuries and games get out of control but I think that's a lack of proper training of the refs involved and them understanding their how pivitol their role truly is. We won't have "premier" refs as they fail to see the importance of their job and it's just a part-time job. Good luck! |

The officiating at the Pistols Invitational tournaments are really an embarrassment to your organization. I have two girls in AAU teams over the past 4 years and I have never seen such unequal officiating against teams playing Pistols teams in these tournaments. SEveral parents and coaches from other organizations involved in these "invitationals" agree and there was a lot of buzz about it. There is a reason in your Invitationals that there are so many Pistol teams listed as winners or placeholders... Don't look for as many outside organizations to be a part of your "Invitationals-to let-the-Pistlos-win-at-all-costs" tournaments. And that cost led to many injuries because of the non-calls against girls that were getting out of control. |
